Technology Angers the Goddesses
There have been four ancient advanced civilizations in our nation’s history, and all four of them came to ruin. Maybe it’s time we take a hint! These mechanical contraptions that these ‘scientists’ continue to make are a threat to our very survival! I’m tired of reading headlines about the ‘progress’ of technology. It’s just leading toward another Ganon resurrection in which everything will be destroyed. Anyone who’s ever read an ancient text knows that! And people believe this, but no one has the courage to say it. Well, maybe it’s time someone said it!
You might think that you can clear cut a forest and that it has no effect. You’re not considering the animals who live in such places or the Koroks who call them home. And although you may not consider their plight, there are those in the world beyond who most certainly do! For they created nature, and they will stand by while man tears it asunder!
Ganon is a great evil, yes, but nothing in this world happens without the permission of the divine creatrixes, the Golden Goddesses. For they know all things, and they know the folly of man! They know that you used a flamethrower to burn down an entire field in the hopes of felling one random moblin. And do not think for one second that they are not angry about it.
I’ve petitioned the King multiple times to get a ban on this ‘technology’ that is everywhere now, but His Majesty does not agree with my position. It is unfortunate, but he is King. So in lieu of a ban, we will have to attempt change through our culture. If you see someone using the Scientific Method, call it out! There is no place for research or progress in technology if we want a safe world!
Our culture, sadly, promotes this kind of toxic thinking at present. Kids talk about wanting to be the ‘next great researcher’ and engage in reading competitions at libraries. There was even a Science Fair in Hateno last week. A Science Fair. They might as well have called it a ‘World Destruction Competition’. This is where parenting has to come in. If you think you’re kid is getting into the science crowd, maybe it’s time to find them some new friends.
Together, we can turn the clock back on technological advancement. If we all stay focused, pretty soon Hyrule will only be working with sticks and stones.
